Advisors Robert Katch Mr. Katch founded Manchester Financial in 1990 while serving as Pepperdine University’s Associate Treasurer. He was responsible for the University's corporate finance function including cash and debt management, as well as the institution's $250 million investment portfolio, covering asset allocation, portfolio analysis, manager evaluation, and in-house investments for donors. From 1991 through 2003, Robert also served as an Adjunct Professor for the University, where he taught investment, accounting and finance courses. Mr. Katch was previously with Arthur Young & Co. serving in both the International Taxation and Merger & Acquisition Departments. Robert holds a B.S. in Accounting and an M.B.A. Mr. Katch serves on the Board for Pepperdine’s Seaver College and as Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Ventura County Community Foundation’s Endowment portfolio. Robert and his wife, Loretta, were married in 1987 and have 4 children. Alan S. Hopkins Mr. Hopkins joined Manchester Financial in 1995 as Chief Financial Officer after several years at Charles Schwab & Co. Mr. Hopkins was responsible for Schwab’s high networth clients by teaching courses in financial planning, trading techniques, and retirement strategies. Prior to Schwab, Mr. Hopkins was a consultant to the State of California in the takeover of the Executive Life Insurance Company and worked on the merger of Bank of America and Security Pacific’s mutual fund departments. Alan has served on several boards, including the Alliance for the Arts and was President of the Wellness Community, a national cancer charity. Alan holds a B.S. in Economics and an M.B.A. Alan and his wife, Kristy, were married in 1990 and have 2 children. Steve Coker Mr. Coker joined Manchester Financial in 2007 after several years as the Trust Officer at Pepperdine University where he was responsible for managing the University’s $50 million trust portfolio. Steve passed the CPA exam in 1990 and has worked in both the Audit and Tax Departments of Deloitte & Touche, and has over ten years of experience with Harris Corporation valuing acquisition targets, and serving as a business unit manager for this Fortune 500 Communications firm. Steve holds a B.S in Accounting from Pepperdine, and an M.B.A. from the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. In addition, Steve has taught finance and accounting in Pepperdine’s undergraduate program. Steve and his wife, Sherri, were married in 1992 and have 3 children. |
